The Children's Ministry ministers to ages three to twelve. Scripture reveals that children are special to Jesus. In one instance, parents were taking their children to Jesus for Him to pray for their little ones. Jesus welcomed this act of trust and dedication. However, the disciples thought that Jesus was much too busy to consider any of these children and they tried to stop the flow of parents and children to the Lord. Jesus responded to the disciples' action by saying, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these" (Mt. 19:14). There was never a time when Jesus turned the children away. He always welcomed and included them in His ministry; just as He did with adults. Isaiah 54:13, “All thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children”.
As Jesus was concerned with children, so should the local church. The church is to be a place where children are welcomed and trained in the truths of the Bible. MFWO sees children as Jesus sees them, and as a result, places much effort into developing a ministry to children that is well-planned and intentional in training. Childrens' church fellowship is available every first and second Sundays. Every third Sunday is Family Sunday in which the children also participate.
